I really enjoyed this sweet, medieval romance. I loved how the author's match the couple. This is part of series but I had no problems reading this stand alone. I have only read first book in series and this one. I enjoyed the two I read and would read other materials by the author again. This book would be great for someone that enjoys sweet romances, strong heroine, shy hero, mention of lost faith restored, and finding happiness. Clean read. Love ending.

Heroine is part of a Scottish tribe that King David considers threat to his recent rise to the thrown. So he kidnaps the heroine to force her brother to play nice, with plans to keep her as ward in England until she can be married off to an English Lord. Very complicated Medieval shenanigans. However, heroine comes from strong tribe that shows their women how to take care of themselves and fend for themselves!!! She is not someone easily captured and held. That is why Kind David goes to desperate means to hold her, but alas she is not one to be held against her will for long.

Hero grew up in an abusive environment. His way to cope was through his faith and vows to be the total opposite of his father. He is called "Preacher" by couple people and mention that his sister was working on church for him. However, he has lost his faith for last couple years and has been feeling empty. He finds it hard to be around his siblings after they all found true love. He decides to leave the strong hold and live in place called No Man's Land so he can give himself some space from all the lovey doveys.

What neither expected was to find each other, let alone love. However, neither can keep their thoughts off each other and soon these two are working together to build hero's new home. I found it refreshing that the heroine is the stronger one of the two at first (doing things many think only a man can do and being first to make moves due to hero's shyness) but when it mattered the most the hero was the stronger one that was willing to fight for their love. It was soooo sweet. I enjoyed reading of their time together.

I would highly recommend this sweet read.

The last in a series wrapped the series up nicely. Tanya Anne Crosby seems to have a way with the highland Scots. A most enjoyable series.
Great story.
Loved the stories very much. I only wished for a map to keep up with where everyone was located. Wonderful series. I couldn't put it down. I haven't read so much in a while.
I started reading this series in 2014. I stopped reading it because it had too much descriptive sex. I didn't get through the first book. Now I have read all 5 books. I'm so glad you released them without all of the sex. If you are looking for a good clean series to read this is the one for you.
