A must read for anyone serious about understanding the world and how it is perceived by our mind.
I am an avid fan of Krishnamurti's work. So 5 stars from me is no surprise. His work makes me stop and think - something I need more of in this hectic world of ours. Thus, I read it in small, savory bites.
Exceptional read.. very thought provoking. Strongly recommend for those who are serious and brave enough to step out and beyond their own psychological comfort zones.
I have been captivated by Krishnamurti's teaching for the past four years. Having been involved in a so-called spiritual practice of controlled meditation for four years prior to reading Krishnamurti's work, and being raised through my youth as a Roman Catholic, this book opens the door to spiritual freedom in its' purest sense. "Truth is a pathless land" is one of Krishnamurti's famous quotes and continues to have a powerful resonance for me. Always be open and free of dogma, free to discover that "light in oneself".
Krishnamurti resonates like so few authors can. As I read his material - especially "Freedom from the Known" - it is as if he's in the room with us. Also when I read his material aloud with my husband by my side, the two of us understand the words as if as a couple they were a gift from Krishnamurti. We want to thank him for being a writer and sharing his heart, mind, soul and spirit.
Brilliant! Hard to describe this book as it is deep and ponderous and will turn your awareness of what you think "is" completely upside down. I love the musings of Krishnamurti and the glimpses into the world that he was seeing and how he describes it in such graceful ways. His was a spacious mind, or so it seems, and did not have the clutter of "foolish things" most of us fill our minds with. So refreshing to read these words from such spaciousness!
For those who do not want to be told what to think or who to follow, I assume Krishnamurti is already in your library. All his works are great and always a reminder to go back to Self. No answers "out there."
